Once Moomintroll woke up in midwinter, which is quite odd, since Moomins normally hibernate in winter. So the poor little Moomintroll found himself awake among all his sleeping family, only one with the chance to witness the miracle—winter.
And despite the fact that winter was generously bringing him surprises every new day, showing him its motley cold, and winnowing strange winter creatures to be his new friends, Moomintroll was inconsolably missing the world as he used to know it—the world of summer.
But one day it all changed.
Moomintroll stopped mourning his yesterdays or longing for his tomorrows and entered the “Now” with every furry strand of his being. It felt so wonderful, as wonderful as the snowflakes dancing. And talking about the snowflakes, lo and behold!, they fell from the sky, and did not grow from the ground as the flowers, as Moomintroll used to believe…
This gentle and funny puppet performance communicates the process of accepting the new and unknown things, and the importance of being open to changes.
