Our Thumbelina is ten years old. She has seen the world, but only from the safety of her mother’s pocket.

Yes, she has never been outside on her own. She has also red dozens of and-they-lived-happily-ever-after books before she decides it is time to set off on a journey to find her own prince.

A bird helps her escape from her overprotective mother, and her prince is about to be found…only if the world was not that full of fake princes. So there will be a frog, a bumblebee, and a mole mistaken for a prince, before the wings of Thumbelina start growing. As the wings grow only when you meet a real prince.

This performance is not original only for the new fresh view of a famous old story, but also for the unusual audience treatment. Namely, we have no chairs for the audience, as growing up and princes hunting are demanding activities providing no time for rest. Yet, in exchange, we can offer some running, jumping, seed planting, daydreaming, secret revealing, flying, acting, buzzing and much more. Maybe your wings will grow too.
